Today Lee Nathan met with Alexandra, a student at University of the West of England and has the pleasure of mentoring her as part of UWE Enterprise Scholarship Mentoring programme.
Alexandra wants to create accessories that are made from alternative, more sustainable products to leather and she thinks she’s done it….. with Piñatex which is a product developed from over seven years of R&D by Dr. Carmen Hijosa. The raw material that forms the base of Piñatex is a by-product of the pineapple harvest.
We’re really excited to see what help and support we can give, and also having Alexandra educate us more on the importance of moving towards using alternative, more sustainable products.
